One Died in The Accident on Highway 97

Bend, Oregon (04/14/2022) — The accident occurred on Highway 97 near milepost 125 Thursday around 6:50 a.m. SUV headed southbound when it lost control and spun into the northbound. Then it struck a car driven by Christopher May, 44. After that May’s car was struck by a pickup truck in the northbound lane.

Unfortunately, Christopher May died from injuries. The SUV driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Highway was closed for about four hours for the investigation.
