One Died in A Car Crash on Highway 199

Josephine County, Oregon (05/23/2022) — According to Oregon State Police Department the accident happened on Highway 199, near milepost 19 on Monday night. White Volkswagen Beetle was moving northbound when after swerving to avoid traffic but lost control. The car slid into the southbound lane and collided with a Ford Escape.

Unfortunately Volkswagen driver died at the scene. The Ford Escape driver was taken to the hospital.

The Highway remained closed for about two hours during the investigation.
