Fatal Highway Crash

Walton, Oregon (9/22/2021) — A deadly crash occurred on Monday involving a logging truck on Highway 126.

Shane McVay, 64, was driving the log truck east when the trailer tipped over. The loaded trailer struck Sarah Susman, 25, traveling west in her Toyota Prius, as well as a 70-year old Oregon resident driving a Dodge Ram. The Oregon resident then hit an eastbound Fort Mustang vehicle. Susman was pronounced dead following the accident.

Oregon State Police suspect that McVay was driving under the influence of alcohol.
