Crane Truck Caught Fire on Interstate 84

Columbia River Gorge, Oregon (06/27/2022) –The accident occurred on interstate 84 between Troutdale and The Dalle on Monday morning. The crane truck blew a tire which caused it to overturn, smash into the median, roll onto its side, and caught fire.

The truck driver was able to get out of the vehicle before it caught fire. He suffered only a minor finger injury. The accident caused about 200 gallons of fuel, oil, and antifreeze to spill from the vehicle.

Interstate 84 was closed from exit 17 in Troutdale to exit 62 for about nine hours causing traffic issues.
