Necanicum, Oregon (05/28/2022) — According to a press release from the Oregon State Police the crash occurred on Highway 26 near Necanicum right before noon on Saturday. Tesla, driven by Fredrick Scheffler II of Portland was headed west after crossing the center line and struck head-on with an oncoming Hyundai Tucson van, driven by Kyle Rieger.
Unfortunately, Scheffler died at the scene. Rieger was airlifted to a hospital where he died from the injuries later that day.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
