La Pine, Oregon (02/01/2022) — The crash occurred near milepost 169 on the highway, north of Jackpine Loop at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Kia Soul drove into upcoming traffic and head-on collided with a Ford F-150 pickup truck. Both drivers were taken to the Bend hospital with injuries.
A blood-alcohol content of a woman Kia driver showed three times Oregon’s legal limit. She is facing multiple charges. Both vehicles were heavily damaged after the accident.
The highway remained close for investigation for two hours after an accident.
