Portland, Oregon (03/24/2022) — The accidents occurred on North Vancouver Avenue and Northeast Columbia Boulevard Thursday around 1:40 p.m. The motorcyclist was moving eastbound on Columbia Blvd. After running the red light motorcyclist hit the pickup truck, which caused it to tip the pickup truck on its side.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene. A man and his eight-year-old son who were in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the motorcycle was previously stolen.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
