Salem, Oregon (02/06/2022) — The accident occurred on Owens Street around 7 a.m. on Monday. According to Salem Police, the Ford F-150 truck was traveling east on Owens Street. After failing to stop at the red light Ford struck the Lexus sedan in the rare end. Additionally, five other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Unfortunately, one person died at the scene another was transported to Salem Hospital by medics with serious injuries.
Owens Street from Commercial Street to Saginaw Street reopened 4 hours after the accident.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
