Tragic Fireworks Accidents on July 4th

Unfortunately, there were once again stories in the media of tragic fireworks accidents over the July 4th weekend.

In New York, a man lighting fireworks completely severed his left arm below the shoulder when explosives shot out of a tube and struck him in the left arm.

In Pennsylvania, a fireworks accident injured 11 people when a charge misfired sending firework material into a nearby crowded area. The victims suffered burns, contusions and abrasions.

As always, residents of Oregon and Washington using fireworks need to follow safety tips.
