Invanka Trump Scarves Recalled Due to ‘Burn Risk’

Approximately 20,000 scarves manufactured in China under the Ivanka Trump Collection brand were recalled earlier this month due to their potential “burn risk”, according to a press release by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The CPSC warns that consumers should stop use of the scarves immediately, and return them to their place of purchase for a full refund. The scarves have been recalled due to their failure to meet federal flammability standards. No injuries have been reported.

The Ivanka Trump Collection released a statement in response to the recall, saying it was “disappointed to learn of the need for Global Brand Group, our license partner, to recall two styles of Ivanka Trump scarves, but we are relieved that immediate action is being taken”.

Global Brands Group, a Hong Kong company, was not available for comment.

The recall covers two brands of Ivanka Trump scarves: Beach Wave, which appears in blue, coral, and yellow, and Brush Stroke, which appears in blue, red, neutral, and green. The scarves are 76 inches long by 24 inches wide and are 100% rayon with a machine-rolled hem. A black label with the embroidered “IVANKA TRUMP” name is sewn in at the edge of the scarves. They were sold at locations such as: Century 21, Lord & Taylor, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Stein Mart, Amazon, and Loehmanns.
