Roseburg, Oregon (04/19/2022) — The accidents happened on I-5 near Roseburg on Tuesday around 6:30 p. m. The Police trooper had pulled over a semi-truck when the patrol car got hit by a pick-up truck. The pick-up truck flipped and came to a rest on its side.
Police said no trooper nor pick-up driver were no injured.
The driver was cited for reckless driving and failing to change lanes.
Police used the incident to remind drivers they are legally required to change lanes for stopped emergency vehicles, and tow trucks for roadside assistance vehicles if their lights are on.
