The United States Department of Agriculture announced last week that Oberto Sausage Company, a Kent, Washington company, is recalling approximately 772 pounds of beef jerky products because they contain a known allergen, soy, which is not declared on the label.
The recall covers 4.16-oz. canisters of "LOWREY'S HICKORY SMOKED BEEF JERKY," containing 3 individual snack packs of 6 beef jerky sticks. These products have a best-by date of "130412 01," printed on the bottom of each canister.
