Serious Dog Bite Injuries on the Rise

    The number of hospitalizations due to dog bites has nearly doubled in the last ten years, according to a recent report from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.  The most recent statistics from 2008 indicate an average of 26 people per day had to be admitted to hospitals throughout the U.S. because of dog bites.  The total number of hospital stays related to bites totaled 9,500 that year.  Please visit the report link above to see specific data.
