Four injured victims and the mother of a passenger who died in the Metrolink commuter train accident in Chatsworth, CA on September 12, 2008 have filed a negligencesuit against the train operator’s employer, Veolia Transportation Services and subsidiary Connex. They are also filing suit against the train operator, Robert Sanchez’s estate. Allegedly he had been sending text messages seconds before the crash and the federal investigation of the accident is focusing on why the train went through a red light causing it to crash into a freight train.
The lawsuits were filed Tuesday December 23, 2008 in Los Angeles Superior Court.
