Amy Bruning

Amy Bruning joined D’Amore Law Group as an attorney in June 2018. Amy is committed to using her legal expertise to advocate and provide justice for those who have been severely harmed by the negligence of others. Amy brings to D’Amore Law a wealth of diverse legal experience having previously represented plaintiffs in employment, housing, education, and other civil rights matters.

While Amy has strong involvement in all stages of her client’s cases, she has a passion for legal research and writing and preparing a case for trial. She understands that her clients are seeking legal assistance at a particularly difficult point in their lives – following trauma or the loss of a loved one – and considers it both humbling and rewarding to wade the legal morass on their behalf.

Amy is admitted to practice law in all Oregon state and federal courts, as well as the Ninth Circuit. She is an active member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association: serving as a member on the Amicus Curiae and Membership committees, presenting at its continuing legal education seminars, and participating in the 2018-2019 class of its highly-selective Leadership Academy. Amy is also a member of the Oregon Justice Resource Center’s Amicus Curiae Committee, which advances civil rights and liberties by providing amicus assistance to cases that present significant social justice issues facing Oregon courts.

Amy earned her law degree from the University of Michigan, where she received a Dean’s Scholarship, was a contributing editor of the Michigan Journal of Law Reform, and served as a student attorney with the Child Advocacy Law Clinic. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Pomona College in Claremont, California, where she majored in psychology.

Outside the office, Amy volunteers as a mock trial coach at Wilson High School through the Classroom Law Project. She also enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their spoiled beagle, hiking and backpacking around the Pacific Northwest, rooting for the Timbers, and sampling sour beers.
